Perfect for your morning tea or coffee, this Cabbage Mug by Bordallo Pinheiro is part of the kitchenware range designed by renowned Portuguese artist, Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro, the cabbage is a symbol of rural life as it is found in every kitchen garden across Portugal and is a national dish in the form of Caldo Verde, a cabbage soup.
Bordallo Pinheiro was a famous cartoonist, humourist, illustrator and social and political commentator of his day. In 1885 he founded a ceramic factory where he created many of the pottery designers. The factory continues to this day and is dedicated to bringing Bordallo’s inspiration and design flair to a new, modern audience.
